Nonprofit Moves Website from Squarespace to Duda Platform

Challenge America Takes Advantage of Duda Tools, CMS

A longtime client of Fix8 Media, Challenge America wanted to redesign its nonprofit Squarespace website in the Duda platform. The Colorado-based nonprofit connects veterans, military service members, and their families with resources in their communities and beyond. After launching a special Covid initiative Duda website during the pandemic—and seeing all the incredible tools and features that Duda had to offer—the leadership team at Challenge America wanted those same great features for their main organization website.

“As a nonprofit who sought to build a number of unique experiences for their initiatives within their organization’s website, they were limited in Squarespace,” says Fix8 Media Creative Director Josh Neimark. “Many requests would require custom code in Squarespace, whereas now the Duda platform meets those needs without any custom coding required—keeping the website in line with best practices and enabling the organization to edit and update the website on their own without fear of breaking the design.”

The new Duda nonprofit website shares the organization’s many initiatives, including pages for the Military Sisterhood, Veteran Arts Community, Music Therapy program, and more. Honorary founders musicians Amy Grant and Vince Gil feature prominently on a video embedded on the home page, sharing the story of the organization’s roots. Calls to action throughout the site draw visitors into programs, events, and services. A third party donation tool integrated into the Duda site enables donations, as well as the built-in PayPal donation option—allowing anyone interested in supporting military veterans to make a contribution quickly and easily.

Perhaps one of the biggest benefits of moving to the Duda platform for the nonprofit is the ease of updating the website via the CMS, adding updates to its many programs and initiatives as the organization continues to grow—helping more and more veterans and military service people connect with the resources they need.
