Fix8 Media Squarespace Designers Collaborate with Nonprofit Veterans Organization on New Website
Fix8 Media’s Squarespace designers and developers are no strangers to the veteran space. We are honored to work with multiple nonprofits organizations that provide services to veterans and active military members and their families. We proudly list among our nonprofit Squarespace clients such organizations as Challenge America and Post 43 of the American Legion. Recently, we added another wonderful nonprofit organization to our list: Veterans in Media & Entertainment.
This group unites current and former members of the military working in film, television, gaming, and music. They needed a website redesign that would streamline their service offerings and make it easier for them to update the site on their own. Enter the incredibly intuitive and flexible Squarespace platform—and the incredibly talented Fix8 Media Squarespace design team!
Working in close collaboration with the Veterans in Media & Entertainment staff, our team began in the
Squarespace Mojave template. The parallax home page offers a snapshot of the work done by the organization, highlighting placements, castings, and educational opportunities for its members. Calls to action throughout guide the visitor to the info they need, be they a member of the group or someone looking to hire a veteran in the industry. An embedded YouTube video showcases clips of members’ work on-screen, while the home page is anchored by a gallery of highlighted volunteers.
Scrolling over to the Directory section of the website, visitors find the ability to search members or veteran businesses, as well as post a notice. Those interested in joining the group simply fill out a form and submit on the Squarespace website, while those who want to offer financial support can do so via the Donate section of the site.
To ensure a seamless user experience, the new Squarespace website integrates with Membershipworks, providing all the tools the organization’s members need in one place.
