Define URL Redirect Rules More Efficiently through New Duda Features

Replacing your site with a new responsive Duda site can briefly affect your search engine rankings while Google adjusts to the changes. Use the URL redirect feature to redirect your old page URLs to their new responsive site URLs. This way your site visitors land on the correct page of your site. This will prevent the loss of existing search ranking. Before setting up a URL redirect, it is recommended that you remove the old pages from your website or else the new URL Redirect won’t work.

Wildcards allow Fix8 Media Duda website design and development experts to define a URL based on its structure. Designed to save you some valuable time, Wildcards are represented with an asterisk symbol, for example, /product/*/clock will redirect to /product/abc/clock

Variables can define a URL rule that is the same for numerous pages with the same structure, but with different content. This could prove beneficial to e-commerce websites with various product pages that wish to redirect their products to an alternative format.

This feature has already proven beneficial for many Fix8 Media clients, especially those who wish to move older blogs to Duda in hopes of keeping their search ranking. Add one URL rule and all applicable URLs will follow.
